Lubumbashi Culture and Nature: Day Tour of Kafubu River, Ruashi Art Market and Bumaki

The city has a pleasant downtown center, with colonial buildings left and right, two notable religious landmarks, and clean, wide streets. Start your tour with a visit to the impressive cascading waters of River Kafubu. Then, stop at a garden full of Jacaranda, a sub-tropical tree known for its attractive and long-lasting pale indigo flowers.

Explore an art market in Ruashi where you'll find everything from pieces of jewelry, masks to antique furniture. Prepare to haggle as the prices are generally higher than in other nearby city art markets. 

Continue to the execution place of Patrice Lumumba, an African nationalist leader, the first prime minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo before enjoying a stroll and lunch at Bumaki.
