Mavicure Hills Trip in Guania for 4 days

On this 4 days adventure trip, you will be exploring the three monolithic Hills of Mavicure or Mavecure, the Land of Waters of Colombia. You will head down to the banks of Inírida River, which is considered one of the oldest stones on the planet, and discover further Guania's natural and archeological attractions. 

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1

Should there be no unforeseen events, your flight to Inírinda is expected to arrive around 10:30. A motorcycle taxi locally called "Tuctus" will be picking you up from the airport to the dock going to Matraca. You will then take a boat ride to see these gorgeous pink dolphins or "Torninas". After your dolphin sightseeing trip in Matraca, you will head to a community in Caranacoa, El Remanso for a sumptuous prepared by the village people.  El Remanso is located between two of the three hills of Marvicure, you will get to interact with the natives, learn how they conserve and protect their biodiversity. Your trip ends, you will now head to your lodge. 

Day 2

Your second day will start off before the light breaks, rise early and embark to witness the sunrise in the Mavicure Hill after this, you will head back to the lodge for your breakfast. After your breakfast, you will head down to San Joaquin and be mesmerized by its Flora and Fauna. Get a chance to see the extinct Matamata turtles if the conditions will allow. You will then return to the lodge for lunch, and rest. Your will head out for an afternoon activity which will include a trip to Puerto Irinirida, the capital of Guanainia wherein you will be able to discover its famous flower the Guacamaya superba. 

Day 3

Before the sun rises, you will head out to La Ceiba in Mavicure Mountains for your breakfast. La Ceiba people are famous for culturing the Little Angel Bees, derived from the "little angels" these bees do not have sting unlike the typical ones and the honey that they produce is used for medicinal purposes. You will head down to Southern River Star or also known as "Star River of the South", a protected area in the Eastern Guainia for lunch. You will have the possibility to bathe in Amanavén. 

In the afternoon, you will visit a community in Cocos for your afternoon activity wherein you will learn and participate in the process of their handicraft making. In here, you will witness the union of the two rivers, Inírida and Guaviare, and learn the petroglyphs that are written hundreds of years ago. 

Day 4
Your trip ends, rise early for your airport drop off, and safely head back home.
