Half-Day Whale Watching from Libreville

Get a glimpse of Gabon's rich underwater world on this whale-watching trip from Libreville with a professional crew. The country has made great efforts in hosting and preserving these gentle giants of the ocean along with other marine life, with reserves being set up left and right.

Pods of dolphins and whales can be seen all year, but the humpback whales, the most enchanting of them all, only spend a few months in the Gabonese waters. We'll visit during the breeding months of July to September, which is an excellent time to see them play around and jump above the surface. Maintaining a safe distance from these mammals, you'll have ample time to take in the spectacular sightings and snap as many wonderful photos as possible. You'll also notice that each whale has a unique pattern on its tail and this helps researchers to identify and follow them in order to study their behavior. 

Aside from the humpback whales and common dolphins, there is also a plethora of other species including Atlantic spotted dolphins, pantropical spotted dolphins, killer whales, beaked whales, sperm whales, Bryde’s whales, and so much more.
