Itinerary

Day 1 - Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

Meet and greet your local guide at the designated pick up location. Drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Kenya’s world-renowned national parks. Appreciate the breathtaking views as you head past the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. You will arrive in Masai Mara National Reserve just in time for lunch. Afterwards, go on a thrilling game drive to start exploring the reserve's natural wonders. While out on the drive, look out for the park's endemic wildlife such as cheetah, giraffe, leopard, lion, zebra as well as the iconic African bush elephant. 

Day 2 - Masai Mara National Reserve

Spend the entire day exploring Masai Mara National Reserve in search of the legendary Big Five! One of the greatest wildlife reserves in Africa, the Masai Mara National Reserve is renowned for its exceptional populations of cheetah, leopard, lion, and the iconic African bush elephant. A rich variety of birds, including immigrants, are abundant in the area. Take time to spot birds of prey among the bird species that have been identified and documented. One of the highlights of Masai Mara National Reserve is the Great Migration, which takes place every year from July to October. Countless herds of gazelle, wildebeest, and zebra can be seen crossing the Mara River during the season as they look for more vegetation. 

Day 3 - Masai Mara National Reserve - Nairobi

Take an early morning game drive before sunrise to see the predators as they end their nighttime hunt and to get wonderful pictures of the sunrise over the Masai Mara plains. After a late breakfast, you will enjoy some leisure time. You may swim or even stroll around the park’s beautiful surroundings, which are filled with a variety of local plants and small creatures. Take a second game drive in the afternoon and go look for wildlife to cross more endemic species off your list. You may also want to schedule some time for an optional cultural interaction with the local tribespeople. To watch and learn more about the Maasai villages' way of life and culture, ask your driver/guide to arrange a visit with them. Cap off your four-day adventure with an optional pre-dawn hot air balloon tour over the park. Nothing compares to awakening with the sun over a large park and witnessing it come to life in the early morning hours. Your guide will be more than delighted to make the necessary preparations.

Day 4 - Masai Mara National Reserve - Nairobi

Start the day with an early morning game drive. After breakfast, depart for Nairobi, where your safari comes to an end at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
