Itinerary
Day 1 - Nairobi - Lake Naivasha
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Your local guide will meet you at the airport, taking you to Lake Naivasha, a huge freshwater lake in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. Home to a significant number of African Hippos and a variety of birds, including the famous African Fish Eagle, reconnect with nature, enjoy the serenity, and admire the marvels of nature. Continue on to a high tea at Joy Adamson’s renowned Elsamere Estate in the afternoon. Here, you will get to see the conservation facility emphasizing lake ecology and raising public awareness on environmental issues. Afterwards, enjoy a game viewing boat cruise on Lake Naivasha to see some of the endemic wildlife species that live around the area.
Day 2 - Lake Naivasha - Lake Nakuru National Park
Spend the day with a trip to the gorgeous Lake Nakuru National Park, notably known for its large population of colorful flamingos and rhinos. After an early breakfast, drive across the Great Rift Valley towards Lake Nakuru National Park. Observe a variety of wildlife species, including the rare Rothschild Giraffe and zebra, impala, waterbuck, lion, and buffalo. Stop for a sumptuous picnic meal before heading back to the lodge for an delightful afternoon tea overlooking Lake Naivasha.
Day 3 - Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara National Reserve
Take a flight from Lake Naivasha to the Masai Mara, a region renowned for its expansive plains. Although it is a short flight, enjoy the amazing views of Masai Mara’s lush terrain. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to your accommodation, which is tucked away in the forest along the banks of the Mara River. Take a short break to freshen up before going on a thrilling game drive in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, and zebras.
Day 4 - 5 Masai Mara National Reserve
Spend the next two days with exciting game drives through the Masai Mara National Reserve. One of the greatest wildlife reserves in Africa, the Masai Mara National Reserve is renowned for its exceptional populations of cheetah, leopard, lion, and the iconic African bush elephant. A rich variety of birds, including immigrants, are abundant in the area. Take time to spot birds of prey among the bird species that have been identified and documented. If you are lucky, you may witness the Great Wildebeest Migration from the Serengeti, one of the world’s greatest natural phenomena. You will also visit a nearby homestead and interact with the renowned Maasai herders to listen to their fascinating stories as they travel in search of new pastures.
Day 6 - Masai Mara National Reserve - Nairobi
Take an early morning game drive before heading back to Nairobi. You will then transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward destination.
