Itinerary
Day 1 - Nairobi - Amboseli National Park
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Your local guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your destination. Drive south of Nairobi to the Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya’s most popular national parks to get up close and personal with free-roaming African elephants and other wildlife species. After lunch, go on a thrilling game drive to start exploring the reserve's natural wonders. While out on the drive, look out for the park's famously stunning African elephants as they gather around the seasonal wetlands in the dry bushland. Other highlights of the park include encounters with Masaai and breathtaking vistas of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak and the world's tallest free-standing mountain. Although the majestic Kilimanjaro is located in Tanzania, the best view of it is from Amboseli National Park, which is strategically located at the mountain's base. The sunset over Mount Kilimanjaro is breathtaking from the archaeological location of Observation Hill.
Day 2 - Amboseli National Park - Lake Naivasha National Park
Travel from Amboseli National Park and make your way to Lake Naivasha, a huge freshwater lake in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. Home to a significant number of African Hippos and a variety of birds, including the famous African Fish Eagle, reconnect with nature, enjoy the serenity, and admire the marvels of nature. See giraffes roam the acacia, buffalo wallow in the marshes, and Colobus monkeys cry from the treetops, while the lakes' big hippo population naps in the shallows during the day. Afterwards, enjoy a game viewing boat cruise on Lake Naivasha to see some of the endemic wildlife species that live around the area.
Day 3 - Lake Naivasha National Park - Lake Nakuru National Park
Enjoy a game drive on the way to the exit gate after a leisurely breakfast. Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, taking in the amazing scenery that makes up the Great Rift Valley landscape. Continue driving with a brief stop at the Subukia viewpoint, arriving in time for lunch before continuing on a game drive later in the afternoon. The hippo and clawless otters are among Lake Nakuru National Park's notable wildlife. Waterbuck, Bohor's Reedbuck, and zebra can also be seen roaming along the shore. If you are lucky, you can also spot both black and white rhinos living in the forest and woodlands as well as other noteworthy wildlife species such as the buffalo, lions, leopards, and the Rothschild's giraffes. Afterwards, check out the numerous lesser flamingos that live in the lake when the water level is low, turning the lakeshore pink.
Day 4 - Lake Nakuru National Park - Masai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy a morning game drive before departing Lake Nakuru National Park for Masai Mara National Reserve, where you will have your lunch. You will then continue your adventure with exhilarating games drives in the afternoon. Home to a great concentration of mammals, Maasai Mara Game Reserve is regarded as the ultimate wildlife reserve in Africa. Take in the most diverse remaining wildlife population in the world along with stunning scenery, endless plains, and breathtaking scenery.
Day 5 - Masai Mara National Reserve
Spend the entire day with an exciting game drive through the Masai Mara National Reserve, and enjoy a picnic lunch along the way.
