Itinerary

Day 1 - Nairobi

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Your local guide will pick you up at the airport, then make your way to the hotel for check in. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 2-4 - Masai Mara National Reserve

Spend the next three days exploring Masai Mara National Reserve! One of the greatest wildlife reserves in Africa, the Masai Mara National Reserve is renowned for its exceptional populations of cheetah, leopard, lion, and the iconic African bush elephant.

Go on thrilling game drives to capture the reserve's natural wonders and amazing wildlife. While out on the drive, look out for the park's endemic wildlife such as cheetah, giraffe, leopard, lion, zebra as well as the iconic African bush elephant. This should be an excellent introduction to the wildlife of Africa, with plenty of picture chances for the entire group.

The Masai Mara National Reserve is where you may observe and photograph renowned African wildlife in their natural habitats, including elephant herds, giraffes, lion prides, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, and more. Follow elephant herds to photograph how elephant families interact; be amazed to see lion cubs playing while their mothers (and fathers) guard them.

You may also want to make time for an optional cultural encounter with the local tribespeople. Ask your driver/guide to organize a visit to the Maasai villages to observe and learn more about their way of life and culture. Finish your four-day vacation with a pre-dawn hot air balloon ride over the park. Nothing beats waking up with the sun rising over a vast park and watching it come to life in the early morning hours. Your guide would be pleased to make the necessary arrangements.

Day 5-6 - Lake Nakuru National Park

Continue on to Lake Nakuru National Park, where you will spend the next two days exploring the lush national reserve rich with wildlife, including both white and black rhinoceros, giraffes, zebras, cape buffaloes, and an abundance of fauna.

Lake Nakuru is also home to one of the rarer natural phenomena that you might encounter in Africa: tree-climbing lions. These lions are known to climb trees and wait on their branches for unwary herds of zebras or antelopes. Their perches also help them avoid herds of cape buffalo, one of the only species that may fear the regal lion!

Day 7-8 - Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Transfer to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a beacon of hope in the preservation and conservation of African wildlife. Home to the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, enjoy game drives capturing the area’s very rare and endangered species in their natural habitat, as well as a varied spectrum of East African wildlife, including the "Big Five" species. This conservancy is at the vanguard of Kenyan wildlife protection, with a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan National Park. You will also stop at a magnificent chimpanzee sanctuary, which is the only spot in Kenya where you can see and photograph these critically endangered apes.

Day 9 - Ol Pejeta Conservancy - Nairobi

Start the day with an early morning game drive. After breakfast, depart for Nairobi, where your safari comes to an end at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
