Begin in Nairobi and continue through the Masai Mara National Reserve before heading down to the beaches of Watamu and back to Nairobi. Itinerary


Day 1 - Nairobi

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Your local guide will pick you up at the airport, then make your way to the hotel for check in. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure.


Day 2 - Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

Transfer to Wilson Airport for your flight to Masai Mara, offering breathtaking views as you head past the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. You will arrive in Masai Mara just in time for lunch. Afterwards, go on a thrilling game drive to appreciate the reserve's natural wonders and amazing wildlife. While out on the drive, look out for the park's endemic wildlife such as cheetah, giraffe, leopard, lion, zebra as well as the iconic African bush elephant. 


Day 3-5 - Laikipia Private Conservancy - Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Spend the next three days with exciting game drives through the Masai Mara National Reserve.  One of the greatest wildlife reserves in Africa, the Masai Mara National Reserve is renowned for its exceptional populations of cheetah, leopard, lion, and the iconic African bush elephant. A rich variety of birds, including immigrants, are abundant in the area. Take time to spot birds of prey among the bird species that have been identified and documented. If you are lucky, you may witness the Great Wildebeest Migration from the Serengeti, one of the world’s greatest natural phenomena. You will also visit a nearby homestead and interact with the renowned Maasai herders to listen to their fascinating stories as they travel in search of new pastures. 


You may also want to schedule some time for an optional cultural interaction with the local tribespeople. To watch and learn more about the Maasai villages' way of life and culture, ask your driver/guide to arrange a visit with them. Cap off your eleven-day adventure with an optional pre-dawn hot air balloon tour over the park. Nothing compares to awakening with the sun over a large park and witnessing it come to life in the early morning hours. Your guide will be more than delighted to make the necessary preparations.


Day 6 - Masai Mara National Reserve - Watamu

Take an early morning game drive before heading to Wilson Airport for your flight to Watamu. Your local guide will pick you up at the airport, then make your way to the hotel for check in. Enjoy the pleasant coastal weather and spend the rest of the day at your leisure. 


Day 7-11 - Watamu

Spend the next couple of days relaxing on the absolutely stunning beach. You will get the opportunity to experience the seemingly endless splendor of the coastal region. Watamu has a number of noteworthy sites and activities to participate in. 


For the adventurous, there is the option of snorkeling over the coral reef in the morning, or sports such as scuba diving, or you may learn to dive or kite-surf. Mida Creek also offers a sunset dhow trip. Animal lovers can go deep sea fishing, see humpback whales, and explore the Arabuko Sokoke Forest, East Africa's largest and most preserved coastal forest. This forest is home to some of Kenya's most endangered species, as well as stunning butterflies and salty mangroves. 


If you wish to find Swahili antiquities and explore the bustling tiny neighborhoods, another choice is to drive to Malindi.


These are supplementary activities that the resort can arrange for you at an additional charge.


Day 12 - Watamu - Nairobi

Take a morning flight back to Nairobi. You will then transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward destination.
