Itinerary
Day 1 - Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport. Your local guide will pick you up at the airport, then make your way to the hotel for check in. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 2 - Arusha - Tarangire National Park
Set out for Tarangire National Park, Tanzania's third largest national park and home to a thriving elephant population. The gigantic baobab trees in the park are a unique feature, dwarfing the animals that graze beneath them. Observe how the animals concentrate near the Tarangire River, which serves as the area's only reliable source of water. There are many indigenous species in the area, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and elephants. Enjoy exhilarating wildlife drives with a picnic lunch before returning to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3 - Tarangire National Park - Lake Manyara National Park
Head to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive and picnic lunch. Lake Manyara National Park, well-known for its biodiversity, contains three distinct environments: the lake, the forest, and the plains. Here, you will see lions climb trees because they dislike moist soil caused by subsurface springs. The park's entry is in a very distinctive environment - beautiful green foliage, tree-climbing lions, the soda lake teeming with hundreds of pink-hued flamingos, large water birds, baboon troops, and the Rift Valley escarpment make this safari unique. Afterwards, make your way back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4 - Lake Manyara National Park - Serengeti National Park
Drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Serengeti National Park after an early breakfast, stopping for game viewing along the way. The Serengeti National Park, best known for its migration, is without a doubt the world's most well-known wildlife reserve, unrivaled in terms of natural beauty and scientific significance. It also has the biggest concentration of plains game in Africa.
Every October and November, approximately a million wildebeest and 200,000 zebras move south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains. They whirl west and north during the long rains of April, May, and June. The ancestral impulse to migrate is so strong that no drought, gorge, or crocodile-infested river can keep them from moving. The Serengeti National Park is indeed home to the legendary great wildebeest migration.
Day 5 - Serengeti National Park
Spend another day exploring Serengeti National Park! The Serengeti National Park is most known for its large herds of plains animals, including wildebeests (gnu), gazelles, and zebras, and it is the only spot in Africa where vast land-animal migrations still take place. See the reserve's natural treasures and amazing wildlife on thrilling game drives. Keep a watch out for endemic creatures such as cheetah, giraffe, leopard, lion, and zebra while driving through the park, as well as the classic African bush elephant. This should be an excellent introduction to African wildlife.
Day 6 - Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater
Drive out of the Serengeti and to Ngorongoro Crater for a game viewing drive after an early breakfast. The Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa's most spectacular landscapes, is thought to contain the highest animal density in Africa. The Crater has achieved worldwide acclaim, attracting an increasing number of visitors each year. You won't be able to avoid other vehicles here, but you will be rewarded with fantastic wildlife viewing in a wonderfully stunning area. There is no other UNESCO World Heritage Site in Africa like Ngorongoro!
Take in the beautiful scenery of the Ngorongoro Crater and get the opportunity to see Africa's fabled Big Five: lions, leopards, black rhinos, elephants, and buffalos, as well as the endangered black rhinoceros. You will have a picnic lunch while admiring nature's spectacular beauties. Then, return to your lodging for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7 - Ngorongoro Crater - Karatu District - Arusha
Visit Karatu District, a local village near the lodge after breakfast. You may also unwind at the lodge or go shopping. Afterwards, return to Arusha, where your safari adventure comes to an end at the Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport.
