Itinerary

Day 1 - Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport. Your local guide will pick you up at the airport, then make your way to the hotel for check in before heading out to explore the city.

Day 2-3 - Arusha

Spend the next two days exploring Arusha! Embark on thrilling game viewing drives, relax around the lodge or bask under the sun at the beach. You may also opt to book other activities and spend time at your own leisure.

Day 4 - Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Head towards Tarangire National Park. Although Tarangire National Park is one of Africa’s smaller parks, it is densely packed with endemic flora and fauna, particularly its large elephant herds which are everywhere and up close. The gigantic baobab trees in the park are a unique feature, dwarfing the animals that graze beneath them. Observe how the animals concentrate near the Tarangire River, which serves as the area's only reliable source of water. There are many indigenous species in the area, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and elephants. Enjoy exhilarating wildlife drives with a picnic lunch before returning to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5 - Tarangire National Park

Begin the day with a delightful breakfast before heading out for game viewing drives. You will likely spot the lion, which is one of the most frequently sighted animals; it is uncommon that a visitor does not encounter this beautiful beast stalking or grazing. Tarangire National Park is also the only spot in Tanzania where you may observe dry-country antelope like oryx and gerenuk on a regular basis. This vast area is especially noted for its magnificent baobab trees and stunning vistas of the Maasai Steppe and the majestic mountains to the south.

Day 6 - Tarangire National Park - Ngorongoro Crater - Karatu

Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area after an early breakfast. The Ngorongoro Crater, the world's eighth natural wonder, is the world's largest intact crater. With its 600m towering walls, the volcano floor sank to form a natural enclosure. Ngorongoro Crater is now more than 19 kilometers wide, with vast stretches of acacia bush, hippo-infested marshes, and open grasslands. Over 30,000 animals live in these various habitats, including elephants, warthogs, flamingos, magnificent birdlife, the rare black rhinoceros, and all predatory cats. Maasai cattle can also be observed grazing with buffalo and wildebeest. There is no other UNESCO World Heritage Site in Africa like Ngorongoro!

Take in the beautiful scenery of the Ngorongoro Crater and get the opportunity to see Africa's fabled Big Five: lions, leopards, black rhinos, elephants, and buffalos, as well as the endangered black rhinoceros. You will have a picnic lunch while admiring nature's spectacular beauties. Then, make your way to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7 - Karatu

Spend another day in Karatu and set off on a thrilling morning game drive! You may also visit Karatu District, a local village, unwind at the lodge or go shopping.

Day 8 - Karatu - Ngorongoro Crater

Start the day early with a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park before departing towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a game drive where you can take pictures and a lunch box on the way. Ngorongoro is considered a special place that is a conservation area rather than a National Park. The entire region is managed for both animals and native Masaai people who graze their livestock alongside the natural species.

Day 9 - Ngorongoro Crater

Enjoy a hearty breakfast, then embark on an exciting morning game drive. You will then continue to Lake Eyasi, a soda lake in the conservation area highlands that is situated in the southwest corner of Ngorongoro Crater. Take time to admire the scenic vistas as you search for the reserve’s endemic creatures!

Day 10 - Ngorongoro Crater - Ndutu

Leave the highlands behind to travel to Serengeti National Park via the picturesque high rising countryside of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Seronera is located in the Central Park area, which is one of the park's richest wildlife habitats, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and thus attracts wildlife well representative of most Serengeti species. Arrive in time for lunch and then go on an afternoon game viewing drive.

Day 11 - Ndutu

Spend the entire day discovering Ndutu! Go on thrilling game drives in quest for Ndutu’s endemic wildlife such as leopard, lion, cheetah, caracal, serval, African wildcat, and a variety of profuse birdlife.

Day 12 - Ndutu - Nairobi

Depart for Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, which is located along the Nairobi River. Nairobi is East Africa's most cosmopolitan metropolis. It's an ideal starting place for African safari tours in and around Kenya. Nairobi, Africa's fourth largest city, is a bustling and intriguing location, and while its reputation keeps visitor trips limited, there are some fascinating things. A private vehicle and guide will be provided to explore Nairobi National Park and other sites of interest.

Day 13 - Nairobi - Kampala

Drive to Mabamba Swamp to search for Africa's most sought-after bird, the ancient-looking Shoebill Stork, as well as many other birds in the Swamp. Explore the swamp in a local fishing boat accompanied by an experienced local guide. Aside from the Shoebill Stork, Mabamba Swamp is home to a plethora of water birds, including the Swamp Flycatcher, African purple swamphen, African water rail, Pallid Harrier, Papyrus Gonolek, White-winged Warbler, and the Blue Swallow.

Day 14 - Kampala - Bwindi National Park

Continue your adventure to Bwindi National Park. The trip to Uganda will take approximately 4-5 hours and will pass through the town of Ruhengeri in Rwanda's northern region. Enter Uganda through the border posts of Cyanika or Katuna. The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, located in southwestern Uganda, is considered to be Africa's oldest rainforest. It is well-known across the world for its superb gorilla-spotting prospects. The rough terrain is characterized by dense vegetation, gushing waterfalls, dazzling mountain streams, deep valleys, and high ridges.

Day 15 - Bwindi National Park - Kampala

Begin the day early for a fantastic morning wildlife drive in one of the most beautiful sites in the world. You will return to Kampala and spend the rest of the day at your own leisure.

Day 16 - Kampala

Start the day early for a hearty breakfast. After breakfast, depart from Kisoro/Bwindo to Kigali, where your safari comes to an end.
