Van Gogh lived in Arles for just over a year. He produced over 300 drawings and paintings there. The town appears by day and night in many of the masterpieces he painted in the twilight of his life, such as the famous Starry Night. The Langlois bridge has become known locally as the Van Gogh bridge, depicted on several occasions by the painter. In this moving setting along the Rhone canal, the artist invites you to listen to some of the letters exchanged between Theo and his brother Vincent, in which he talks about his life, his artistic quest, his joys and his questions. These letters are incomparable - stories, confessions, appeals - and essential to discovering the real Van Gogh who became a myth... He was not a mad painter. On the contrary, solitary, torn, ill and starving, he never stopped writing, lucid as he was in his pursuit of the light. The artist will interpret a whimsical postwoman who discovers forgotten letters under the Van Gogh Bridge and shares them with the audience.
