2 Day Gorilla Trekking Rwanda and Dian Fossey Museum Experience

Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.

You will have breakfast from the lodge and proceed to the headquarters at Kinigi for a pre-trek briefing ahead of a whole day’s experience with these gentle creatures and continue to track the mountain gorillas deep in the Virunga jungles. Recommended to carry along is bottled water, a packed lunch from the lodge, a standard camera, insect repellant, huts, strong jungle shoes, and rain gear. Upon return, we shall have dinner and an overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Visit Dian Fossey Center and transfer to Kigali.

You will have breakfast and then undertake a hike up to Karisoke Research Centre, established by Dian Fossey. Learn more about the activities of Dian Fossey and her efforts to conserve mountain gorillas in the region. After this experience, return to the lodge for lunch and drive back to Kigali City in the afternoon, either be dropped at the lodge or the airport for your outbound flight.
