Ramen Noodle Making Kit + Online Class | Cook Anytime or Live with a Chef

Most people have never made ramen noodles by hand. It's one of the most satisfying things you can cook. This kit has our ramen flour blend at double class quantity, plus four house-made sauces and the dried aromatics for a deep, layered broth.

Mix and knead the noodle dough, roll it and cut it to the right thickness. Build a broth from kombu, shiitake and premium stock, finish it with sesame and chilli, and top it with a chilli-miso mince. Then use the rest of your noodles for a cold sesame noodle salad.

You'll need to buy: 2 eggs, 200 g pork or chicken mince (or firm tofu), 2 bok choy, cucumber, spring onion, hoisin sauce.

Equipment: large pot, frying pan, rolling pin or pasta machine, sharp knife and board, cling wrap.

How it works

Cook when it suits you. Your box arrives with everything dry and saucy you need, plus a QR code to the full recorded class. Open it the day it lands, or save it for a rainy Sunday. Pause, rewind and cook at your own pace.

Or cook with our chef, live. Every second month we run a live Sunday cook-along on Zoom at 2pm Melbourne time for Dumpling, Pasta and Ramen kit owners. Cook alongside an Otao chef and ask questions as you go. Dates and the Zoom link are in your booking confirmation.

What you add: a few fresh ingredients from your local shop. Your shopping list comes in the box and in your booking confirmation, so you can shop ahead.

Price: $159 per person, plus $20 handling and postage per order. Dispatched Tuesday and Wednesday by Australia Post. Free pickup from Otao Kitchen, 393 Victoria Street, Abbotsford, Thursday to Sunday.
